Chase were an American jazz rock band led by Bill Chase. They are best known for their 1971 hit single, "Get It On".. The existence of this song meant that when British band T-Rex wanted to release their song also entitled "Get it On", they used the extended title "Bang a Gong (Get it On)" to avoid confusion.
