Tarik Johnston, commonly known as Rvssian (formerly spelt as RUSSIAN), is a Jamaican record producer, singer and entrepreneur. Rvssian is the founder of Head Concussion Records, a music production company situated in Kingston, Jamaica. Rvssian is best known for collaborating with artists such as Vybz Kartel, Bad Bunny, Demarco, Shaggy, Juice Wrld, Clever, French Montana, Post Malone, Cardi B, Tyga, YG and even Carlos Santana.
Rvssian rose to popularity shortly after producing Vybz Kartel's "Life Sweet" in 2010. He followed up with "Straight Jeans and Fitted" (a collaboration with Vybz Kartel), "Pull Up To Mi Bumper" (featuring Konshens and J Capri) and "Passion Whine" (featuring Sean Paul and Puerto Rican singer Farruko), a single which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on 3 October 2014.
In March 2019, Rvssian produced the song by Juice Wrld, "Ring Ring", featuring Clever. The song is from Juice's second studio album, Death Race for Love. In September 2019, Rvssian produced and featured on the French Montana single, "Writing on the Wall", which also featured Post Malone and Cardi B. The single is from Montana's third studio album, Montana. In November 2019, Rvssian collaborated with Tyga, YG, and Carlos Santana on their track "Mamacita".
