Lisa Dale Daniel is of Italian/American and Irish/English descent, and was born in Lexington, Kentucky, the daughter of James M. Yonts, Jr., and acclaimed songwriter Naomi Martin; Naomi Martino Yonts. Dale is an American country music artist. She has recorded one studio album, Luck of Our Own. Daniel's Mother, songwriter Naomi Martin, has song credits ranging from artists such as Rosemary Clooney, Glenn Campbell, and Kenny Rogers, to the Grammy Nominated #1 record, "Let's Take The Long Way Around The World, Ronnie Milsap and the #1 "My Eyes Can Only See as Far as You" by Charley Pride. Daniel and Martin also co-wrote the track "Someone to Call Me Darling" on Lorrie Morgan's 1992 album Watch Me, which also featured Daniel on background vocals. Dale's songs are highlighted on albums by Lee Greenwood, A Perfect Ten,"I'd Give Anything", a duet recorded with Barbara Mandrell, as well as a song she co-wrote with Gary Burr, appearing on Keith Urban's debut solo album, K.U. She and Burr can also be heard singing the Background vocals on Burr's hit single by Tanya Tucker, We Don't Have To Do This. In addition to lending her voice to albums by Lorrie Morgan and Tanya Tucker, Dale has also done studio work for Lisa Brokop, Tracy Byrd, and Ronnie Milsap.

When Dale was 13, her beloved father, Jim, was killed in a boating accident while fishing. This impacted Daniel and her family not only emotionally, but also creatively. Dale's Mother wrote the Lyrics to "Let's Take The Long Way Around The World" as a tribute and love letter to her husband and the father of Daniel and her 3 siblings. Dale subsequently began her writing career at the age of 14, which by the time she turned 20, had her led to her first publishing deal with Ronnie Milsap's publishing Company, Milsap/Lodge Hall Music, headed by publisher/producer Rob Galbraith. Galbraith had discovered Daniel at a Christmas party singing a Contemporary Christian song co-written by her mother, Naomi, and Archie Jordan. Rob quickly brought Dale on board, working with her first as a vocalist, and encouraging her to write her own songs. This affiliation led to Dale singing demos for other publishers, which included the renderings of many notable songwriters, including Tim Nichols,Gene Nelson, Zack Turner, and Buzz Cason. Eventually, she joined Moe Bandy's band, where Daniel was a Background Vocalist, as well as a featured opener for Bandy's show.

Dale's publisher, Rob Galbraith,co- produced the tracks of her master demo session, which eventually landed her a record deal. Joining Galbraith at the helm in the studio was famed songwriter/producer Keith Stegall, who's production is found on albums by Alan Jackson,Clay Walker, and Zac Brown. Producer Paul Worley, upon hearing Dale's master session, paired her with prominent record producer, Richard Landis, then acting head of the A&R Department for BNA Entertainment/Records, a subsidiary of RCA/BMG Records. After seeing Daniel perform at a live showcase in 1991, Landis quickly signed her to a recording contract.

In 1994, Dale released her album Luck Of Our Own, produced by Jerry Crutchfield. It was the title cut on Daniel's album, written by Daniel/Burr, which Keith Urban released in 1999, on his first solo album.

In 1995, after exiting BNA Records, Daniel was primarily focused on raising her growing family, and songwriting, but did not have much down time. It was at this time that her Mother, Naomi, signed a newcomer from Ada Oklahoma, Blake Shelton, to his first publishing contract with her publishing company Naomi Martin/Nico - Dale Music, where Shelton honed his writing and artistic skills, while co - writing with Daniel, Martin, and Charles Quillen to name a few. Naomi was the Executive Producer, while Dale served as producer of the master tracks on Blake Shelton, which caught the attention of Doug Johnson, head of Giant Records, who subsequently signed Shelton to his first recording contract. Blake released his first #1 record while on Giant, "Austin", produced by Bobby Braddock, before Braddock later went on to find a creative home for Shelton at his current record label, Warner Brothers Records.

Upon the death in 2017 of Dale's Mother, Naomi, Daniel assumed the role as Director of Music publishing for Naomi Martin/Nico - Dale Music.

In 2017, Christian Recording Artist, Rhonda Gunn, recorded a song co - written with Daniel on her studio album Beyond. The song, Binding Chains, features Gunn, Daniel, and Gunn's daughter, Amber Randall, on Background Vocals.

Dale continues to write, and also performs at writer's nights, held at local clubs in the Nashville area.

Daniel lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband Mark, enjoying time with their 3 sons, and their Grandson, and managing the affairs of the song catalogue within the publishing company started by her Mother. Her album, Luck of Our Own, is still available on iTunes and Amazon.
