Martina Alejandra Stoessel Muzlera (born 21 March 1997), known professionally as Martina Stoessel (Spanish: [ˈtini estoˈesel]), or by the stage name Tini (stylised in all caps) is an Argentine actress, singer, songwriter, dancer and model. Stoessel began her career by appearing on the Argentine children's television series Patito Feo (2007–2008). In her teens, she rose her fame for her lead role as Violetta Castillo in the Disney Channel Latin America original telenovela, Violetta (2012–2014).
Stoessel, along with other cast members from Violetta, held two world tours: Violetta en Vivo (2013-2014) and Violetta Live (2015). With these tours, they have performed and sold out more than 400 concerts around the world. During Violetta en Vivo, for which they filmed a documentary titled Violetta: La emoción del concierto (also known as Violetta en Vivo and Violetta: en Concierto), which in global, entered number six at the box office with the total gross of $506,052. Stoessel also has recorded eight successful soundtrack albums: Violetta (soundtrack), Cantar es lo que soy (2012), La Música es Mi Mundo, Hoy somos más, Violetta en Vivo (2013), Violetta en Concierto, Gira mi canción (2014) and Crecimos juntos (2015). The albums debuted at top 10 in Argentina and several European countries, and were also awarded multiple gold and platinum certified.
Alongside her television career, Stoessel has starred her role in the film Tini: The Movie (2015), a final chapter and a sequel to the Violetta, where she along with four cast members from series, reprise their roles. The film was shot in Italy, Spain and Argentina, between Violetta Live tour stops. In 2015, Stoessel released her first autobiographical book Simplemente Tini. Stoessel has achieved great worldwide success, and signed a recording deal with Hollywood Records, to release her own solo material under the new stage name "Tini".
Her debut solo studio album, Tini (Martina Stoessel), was released on 29 April 2016, containing Spanish-English songs, and also includes music from Tini: The Movie. "Siempre Brillarás" and its English version "Born to Shine", was released as the lead single. The album also spawned the singles "Great Escape", "Got Me Started" / "Ya No Hay Nadie Que Nos Pare" and "Si Tú Te Vas". The album sold over 100,000 copies worldwide in less than two months, and reached No. 1 in Argentina, as well as the top 10 in Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland and several other countries in Europe. In 2018, she released her second studio album, Quiero Volver, after the previous release of the songs "Te Quiero Más", "Princesa", "Consejo de Amor", "Quiero Volver" and "Por Que Te Vas", which were Stoessel's first singles appearing at top 10 on Argentina Hot 100. Quiero Volver album also debuted at No. 1 in Argentina, becoming Stoessel's second No. 1 album in the country, as well as on the charts in several European countries. Both albums were certified gold in Argentina by the Argentine Chamber of Phonograms and Videograms Producers (CAPIF). In 2020, Stoessel released her third studio album, Tini Tini Tini, which received double diamond certificaction, and sold more than 500,000 digital copies in Argentina.
Stoessel's accolades include two Gardel Awards, seven Premios Quiero Awards, one Argentina Kids' Choice Award, one Colombia Kids' Choice Award, two Bravo Otto Awards, two Martín Fierro Awards, one Billboard Award AR, one MTV Millennial Award, and nominations for the MTV Europe Music Awards, MTV EMA Seville and Heat Latin Music Awards. In 2019, Stoessel was named one of the 10 most influential women in Argentina. She became the only Argentine artist that ever sold-out nine Luna Park, Argentina shows. In 2020, Stoessel was named Billboard's Argentina artist of the year and #1 Argentine artist on Spotify.
